2023 Events

Stancell’s earlier paintings will be featured in a solo exhibition entitled, Florals and More, at the Cos Cob Library, 153 Sinawoy Road, Cos Cob, CT 06807. The show dates are June 2 to June 292023Everyone is invited to the opening reception on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:30 to 7pm. 

Canyon Rhythms IV by Stancell has been chosen for inclusion in Rhythm, Rhyme and Harmony curated by Melissa Staiger at the Bethany Arts Community, 40 Somerstrom Road, Ossining, NY. The exhibition dates are May 12th to June 10, 2023. There will be an opening reception will be on May 12 from 6 to 8 pm.

Stancell’s painting, Fruit and Flower Medley II, is included in the 134th Annual Exhibition of The National Association of Women Artists at One Art Space, 23 Warren Street, (Tribeca), New York, NY. The exhibition dates are June 16 to July 1, 2023 and gallery hours are Monday to Friday 12 to 6pm. Everyone is invited to the in person reception on June 16 from 6 to 9pm.

Stancell’s painting, Bamboo, is included in Odetta Digital’s (Shim Art Network) new exhibition, Entry Point, on Artsy. Exhibition date are January 13 to June 8, 2023.

2022 Events

Odetta Digital’s (Shim Art Network) Equisite Code exhibition at Aqua Miami Art Fair, November 30 to December 4, 2022 includes two of Stancell’s paintings, Purple Iris and Untitled.

Her earlier Sunflowers II painting is included in Odetta Digital’s virtual exhibition, Serious Play, on Artsy. The exhibition ends on December 31, 2022.

Two of Stancell’s Canyon Rhythms paintings, numbers XXII and XXV were chosen for inclusion in the National Association of Women Artists virtual exhibition, I Am Where I Want To Be (www.thenawa.org) from April 15 to May 31, 2022.

Three of Stancell’s paintings, Canyon Rhythms VII, Canyon Rhythms XI, and Canyon Rhythms XXV, are chosen for submission to be featured in Thompson Hospitality’s publication of UNITY, Women’s History Month.

Stancell’s painting, Canyon Rhythms V, is included in the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association All Member Show 2022, virtual onlyfrom January 17 to March 14, 2022, Katonah, NY (www.kmaaonlinegallery.com)

2021 Events

Denise Bibro Fine Art Gallery, New York, NY, chose Stancell’s artwork, Canyon Rhythms V, for it’s Virtual National Exhibition on the gallery’s website from June 10 to July 3, 2021. Stancell was also chosen as one of the show’s 5 finalists and her work will be promoted on the gallery’s social media for 6 more months.

Odetta Digital’s exhibit, Refresh, includes four of Stancell’s paintings. This is a virtual only exhibit on Artsy from June 11 to December 9, 2021, New York, NY.

Stancell donated her 6x9 inch painting, Some Flowers, to the Equity Gallery 6x9 Fund Raiser Exhibit, June 3 to June 12, 2021 and is delighted that it sold. All proceeds benefit Equity Gallery, New York, NY.

Canyon Rhythms XXIII, was chosen for inclusion in the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association Richochet virtual exhibition, May 15 to June 13, 2021, Katonah, NY.

Four of Stancell’s paintings were included in Odetta Digital’s exhibit on Artsy, a virtual only exhibition, Page Turner, from March 12 to June 10, 2021, New York, NY.

Stancell’s painting, Canyon Rhythms XVI, was included in The Katonah Museum Artists’ Association All Member Winter 2021 Show, from January 12 to February 23, 2021(virtual only at www.kmaaonlinegallery.com)

2020 Events

Stancell’s painting, Four Blue Leaves in a Brown Bowl (2020) is included in the USA 35 x 35 Art Project, Copelouzos Family Art Museum, Athens, Greece and is in the museum's permanent collection. See pages 8, 380-381 in the official catalog of this project.

Two of Stancell’s paintings, Canyon Rhythms V and Canyon Rhythms XIV were selected for the Virtual Invitational Exhibition at www.artessexgallery.com, New York, NY. This exhibit, on-line from December 1 to December 31, 2020, was juried by George Billis of George Billis Gallery, New York, NY.

Stancell’s painting Waterlilies III was chosen for the New York Artists Equity Gallery, New York, NY for their exhibition, Il Paradiso, Imagining the Eternal. The exhibit was curated by Peter Gynd, Margaret Krug, Peter Trippi and Jimmy Wright.

Her painting, Canyon Rhythms II is included in the National Association of Women Artists 131st Annual Members’ Exhibition at www.thenawa.org from October 1 to December 30, 2020


2019 Events
 

From November 18, 2019 to January 10, 2020, Stancell's painting, Canyon Rhythms XIV, is included in the group show, Joyous Light at the Edward Williams Gallery, Fairleigh Dickinson University, 150 Kottee Place, Hackensack, NJ. The exhibition reception is on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm.

Her painting, Apple #2, was included in the National Association of Women Artists 130th Annual Members" Exhibition at One Art Space, 23 Warren Street, New York, NY. Exhibition dates were Saturday, September 21 to Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Also in 2019, her Canyon Rhythms IV painting was selected for The College of New Rochelle, Mooney Center Gallery, 29 Castle Place, New Rochelle, NY, Personal Best exhibition, January 24, 2019 to March 2, 2019.

2018 Events 

Stancell's paintings, Canyon Rhythms III and Canyon Rhythms XVIII are included in the Greenwich Pen Women group exhibition, Creative Women, at the Bendheim Gallery, 299 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT. The exhibition dates are November 15, 2018 to January 3, 2019.

Stancell's painting, Amaryllis I, was exhibited in the 129th Annual Exhibition National Association of Women Artists at 195 Chrystie Street, New York, NY from October 6 to October 18, 2018.

2017 Events

Stancell's painting, Floral Symphony, was exhibited at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery, 417 Lafayette Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY in the 128th Annual Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists from August 22, 2017 to September 14, 2017.

2016 Events

Stancell's charcoal drawing, Claudia, was exhibited at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery, 417 Lafayette Street, 4th Floor,
New York, NY in the 127th Annual Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists from August 30th to September 22, 2016.

Stancell's Canyon Rhythms artwork was selected for the Winter 2015/2016 edition of Studio Visit Magazine, published by Open Studios Press, Boston, MA. The magazine was distributed in early 2016 to about 2,000 galleries, museum curators, and art aficionados throughout the country.

2015 Events

From August 28 to September 24, 2015, Stancell's painting, Waterlilies III, was on exhibit at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery 417 Lafayette Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY in the 126th Annual Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists. The Jury of Awards selected her painting for the S. Magnet Knapp Memorial Award for Acrylic Painting.

2014 Events

Stancell exhibited her painting Coastal View at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery, 417 Lafayetter Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY in the 125th Anniversary Annual Members' Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists from October 3 to October 30, 2014.

2013 Events

Stancell's painting, Canyon Rhythms V, was included in The Nor'Easter: 44th Annual Juried Members Exhibition at theNew Britain Museum of American Art56 Lexington Street, New Britain, CT from October 12 to October 27, 2013.

Her painting, Arrangement with Plant and Pears, was exhibited at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery, 417 Lafayetter Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY in the 124th Annual Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists from August 27 to September 28, 2013.

Two of Stancell's Canyon Rhythms paintings, number XII and IX, were included in the group show, Reaching New Heights at the UConn Stamford Art Gallery, One University Place, Stamford, CT from April 1 to May 2, 2013.

2012 Events

Stancell exhibited her painting, Fruit and Flower Medley, at the Sylvia Wald/Po Kim Gallery, 417 Lafayette Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY from September 2 to September 30, 2012 in the 123rd Annual Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists.

Artwork was selected for the Spring 2012 (Volume 13) edition of Studio Visit Magazine, published by Open Studios Press, Boston, MA. The magazine was distributed to about 2,000 curators and gallerists throughout the country in Mid-June 2012.

Stancell's Canyon Rhythms XV painting was included in the Spectrum 2012 exhibition, May 23 to June 17, 2012, at the Betty Barker Gallery, 681 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT.

Three of Stancell's Canyon Rhythms paintings were chosen by General Electric and Picture-That, LLC for The Bold and Beautiful, Confident Expressions, General Electric's 6th Annual Women's History Month Art Exhibition, from March 3 to April 27, 2012 at the GE Cultural Fine Art Gallery, GE Headquarters, Fairfield, CT and GE Cultural Online Gallery.
